Emergency Response and Disaster Management Plan (ERDMP) Study For Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) Drum Plant

An ERDMP study involves development of an onsite Emergency Plan to control and avert any disaster scenario that could be anticipated at the Plant and the consequence of human and property damage. IFluids Engineering has been entrusted in the preparation of the Emergency Plan for IOCL Drum Plant in Chennai.

The ERDMP Report is prepared on the basis of inputs collected and reviewed from existing QRA and HAZOP Study Report which provides the emergency categorization and hazard identification. The development of Emergency Management Structure includes:

  • Management of Resources – Emergency Control Centre, Assembly Points, and Emergency Escape routes, Emergency Communication, Medical facilities, etc.
  • Incident Management System – Emergency notification, Emergency Declaration, Control of Emergency, Role of key personnel, Roles of Site Controller, Incident Controller, Team leader, Team Members, etc.
  • Emergency Procedure to handle situation such as Bomb threat, Confined space rescue, Chemical spill handling, Specific first-aid measures
