Emergency Response & Disaster Management Plan For Haridwar POL Depot

BPCL Haridwar depot at Laldhang, Uttarakhand has come up / constructed on a piece of land admeasuring 2.5 acres leased for 30 years. Depot is located approx. 30 KM from main Haridwar city. The terminal handles POL products that are stored and dispatched. No materials are manufactured and stored operations are restricted to trading only. Total Six UG tanks have been constructed total tankage capacity of 890 KL. These petroleum products include Motor Spirit (MS), High Speed Diesel (HSD), Superior Kerosene Oil (SKO) (2×200 KL MS, 2X200 KL HSD and 2×45 KL SKO). These UG tanks will be constructed and commissioning as per OISD 117. In this POL depot no hydrant System, fire pumps or water storage provided 1×4 bays loading /unloading gantry has been constructed. Both Receipt and dispatch will be through tank trucks only. Average 30TTs will be handled per day. A small TT parking area is also developed on depot land in front side which can accommodate parking of approx. 4 to 5 TTs maximum.

The objective was to update the existing Emergency Response Disaster Management Plan (ERDMP) for the facility
